Tennessee’s first specialty plate for entrepreneurs.

Tennessee runs on people who start things. This plate puts that identity on the road — and puts money behind it. Proceeds fund Launch Tennessee’s mission to empower innovators across the state with capital, commercialization support, and connections, including its partnership with the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Nashville.

How it works

  1. Reserve your plate today. Your pre-order and plate fee hold your place in line.
  2. When 1,000 Tennesseans reserve theirs, the state puts the plate into production.
  3. When it’s ready, your county clerk mails you a letter and you pick up the plate locally. Your $35 annual specialty fee keeps funding Tennessee entrepreneurship every year you renew.

Reserve your plate

Your $40 pre-order holds your place in line, and covers the $35 state plate fee plus a $5 non-refundable processing fee. You’ll enter your details, your Tennessee county, and your refund-or-donate choice at checkout.

Secure checkout. One plate per order — reserving a second car takes a second order.

1,000 plates make it real.

Tennessee requires 1,000 pre-orders before a new specialty plate goes into production. Help us get there — and tell a founder you know.

Founders go first.

The first 1,000 plates are up to us — the entrepreneurs. EO Nashville committed to getting this plate into production, and it happens one reservation at a time. Got two cars? Reserve one now, then place a second order for the other — each order covers one plate.

Where your money goes

Half of every plate fee — after state expenses — funds Launch Tennessee’s work educating and backing the next generation of Tennessee entrepreneurs. The rest supports the Tennessee Arts Commission (40%) and the state highway fund (10%). The plate costs $35 a year on top of your regular registration. The plate was authorized by Public Chapter 822 (2026).
